  1. Part of the deal, only a 20 minute drive from Hull's training ground: Rowley Manor
  2. Liked the look of the Dragons today. Did both the pretty stuff and the tough stuff very well, very dominant physically.
  3. I think you're being a little kind to him. Hall's been a liability in defence too. Credit to the Dragons though. They've been superb.
  4. Cracking half of rugby that. Well impressed by Leigh in both attack and defence.
  5. As you say, mate, men against boys. Some of those kids looked as it they were giving three or four stone away against their opposite number but they stuck at it. Been a long time since I've seen so much talent coming through but we desperately need some quality and experience in the side to stop them being over exposed.
  6. Commendable effort by probably the youngest Hull side I've ever seen and who have spent almost the entire first half defending. Logan Moy outstanding.
  7. Pleased to hear you managed to do the Spurn thing. Having cycled from Robin Hood's Bay to Ravenscar and back along the rock strewn path, I can tell you it would make a much better walking route. You'll enjoy that section, some of the views along the way are spectacular.
  8. Watched the highlights of the scholarship game after you got in touch, mate. How rapid is Richard Horne's lad Josh?
  9. For any Hull supporter that's the most encouraging sentence in that article. Whether it leads to anything substantial is another matter but we need some new blood and some new money at the top.
  10. He is indeed, not sure when he's due back but it was good to see him in the East Stand mingling with the young fans before the game on Saturday. Davy Litten played and scored a try for the Reserves on Friday who in some kind of irony put 50 points past Huddersfield Reserves the day before the first team conceded a half century. In the circumstances I expect we'll see him back in the first team before too long but one of the (many) problems we've got is that the young players are having their confidence knocked playing in a first team that gets hammered as a matter of routine. You're question highlights how poor the club's recruitment and retention has been. Before a ball was kicked it was obvious the balance of the squad was all wrong. We've got umpteen full backs and hookers but virtually no real half backs. We can only hope that releasing Hoy gives us the opportunity to redress that but I don't have much faith in us getting it right at the moment.
  11. Outstanding contest, heroic effort from the Dragons. What a refreshing contrast to the game of touch and pass I witnessed earlier at the MKM.
