Ooh now there's a (conspiracy) theory worthy of investigation.

Woods Buchanan White -
I don't see that. If we argue that DR only favours the SL club because they get to send players to other clubs for fitness, surely the same argument applies when we get to do that. What would Mitsias, Rhodes and Gibbons do to gain match fitness if they aren't getting into our team? Saying that, l would be delighted to see DR scrapped and never seen again!

I never get the impression that Woods enjoys kicking goals, though l have no evidence to support that. The club clearly see Butterworth as a decent kicker, hence Sunday. Morton was our first choice l think until Gilmore took over so l was surprised he hasn't had more of a go.
-
But we don't seem to have decided who is our best goakicker. Out of interest, who would be your choice?

Butterworth with 3 assists there. He looked impressive there. Our perennial issue with the goal kicking persists. It was a good watch!

Thanks for the reply. It interests me that quite a few clubs are using DR so early in the season, as well as quite a few already indulging in the 2 week loans, which tended to be a feature later in the season when a few injuries have been picked up.
-
Have you had lots of injuries to the original members of your squad this season?
-
Well doneCaptain Pugwash!

I notice not much excitement seems to be generated by Friday's fixture, but personally l am really looking forward to this one. Main reason is because l haven't been able to get down as often as l would normally, but also because it will be a good pointer as to how we are going. I expect a tough encounter, and a close scoreline.
-
Didn't Woods go off injured last week?
-
Agree with this. I thought you were the best of the three L1 teams we have played this season.

Who holds the record currently?

Did I correctly catch the announcement before the game that it was Ben White's 100th consecutive game today? If so, what a magnificent achievement and hopefully there will be a greater celebration by the club to mark this milestone.

Hi all, just drawn the shirt up at the Mount. The name was drawn by a fellow forum member who wasn't taking part in the draw, with witnesses. The winner is....... Huntercov! Congratulations to him and thank you for your support.
-
Very possible, even likely. But... my point still stands! When he's ready, surely he'll play. And if that's the case, what position and who makes way?
-
Agreed, but the discussion is interesting. To add to it, l can't believe that Mitsias won't get game time soon. After all, why bring him around the world to God's Own Country and not play him?
-
I think changing the backs is harder than the forwards, as that can be justified as rotating them to give them a rest. Am not sure which of the backs could justifiably be dropped.
-
I think, regarding the weather, we have proven we can grind out a win in the mud so it shouldn't be an issue. Messy is fine. I'm interested in whether MM makes some changes for this game. I'd like to see the Gibbons boys get some time and Mitsias of course, but who on earth would you drop or rest?
