Excelent result against Hunslet away, I still think scholey&tomposh are small for props, but they certainly make up for it in their effort in downing other bigger props. Well done both..

Both done ok considering they were up against ex super league players They both had a good game but they were up against ex super league players and a few from the championship, Town gave away a tries and were pinned back with penalties. I do not know why we played Sammut at full back and Jordan burns in the centres but i am not the coach and thats the way he wanted to play..

I agree Unicorn 106,but let Whitehaven run the club how they want it to run has we should be grateful about the way that the Town Directors are running our club, and they are looking foward to the squad to try and win the second position in the league has Oldham will be red hot favourites to win Div1.When you are a Championship club you will find that most clubs will overspend just to try and compete with rest of them, I hope that Haven can stay in the Championship thiscseason... Personally i think he will come good on the dry grounds, You do not become an international that easy even in PSG. I do not think he is anywhere near to being a cabbage though.

Doe's Croston not play in centres? We have to give the lad a go especially in Div1,Its like any club we can only afford whats on offer, and to be honest he cannot be that bad the amount of clubs he has played for.We can only wait and see Neutralfan7 on how he shapes out.

And a good one,Welcome to Workington Town Jake.

Yes still at the club, talked to him on Thursday and i asked if he was playing but said no, he needs an operation on his ankle/foot but he wanted to play but was advised to have the operation by the medical staff and by the coach.

There's always one.

Going back to the announcing of the two teams, i was sat in the front row of the smaller stand with seating but could not here a word from the anything that was announced.I think the Haven supporters need a better PA system than the one they have at present, but have to say in their defence the PA system at Town isn't Much better but you can at least hear what is being said. Not sure about Blaine Brookie and did not see or read anything about subutey playing in the halves, but he played well on the wing and looks sharp. I have to give credit to young Bishop for Haven who led his team around the park, now he would do or someone to lead Town around the park. UTT

MODERATOR:I understand where you are coming from ivan, but with the posters being members of our Forum they entitled to have their say and input on the site.I recognize that the posters were refering to our former club captain who has now joined another club, that being Whitehaven,I personally was gutted that Jamie left the club but good luuk to the lad, and has we all know that Rugby league in general has a short life to continue playing for many.We at Town will survive and a 1 season in Div1 would be fantastic, but we have to get used to a new team and newish players, but good luck to all Cumbrian clubs next season.

MODERATOR:Any fan of Rugby league can access our Forum irrespective of who, or what team the support. We have a few members from Whitehaven who come on to our Forum and to be honest they have not caused many if any problems, It go's to say that without any input from the Haven lads we would never have much to say or complain about. We have a very good Forum at Workington Town with certainly a lot to say about most aspects of the game, So lets keep it in perspective and carry on the chat whoever comes on our Forum. Thankyou.

Well i have seen Marcus in action mate, but if you say he was injured most of the season what the hell was he even playing for. Marcus is a really good player but playing in the front row was a massive mistake from our coach, has anyone seen him playing in his right position has an hooker, then you have a great little player. I still believe the Championship was not a place for Marcus to play in front row but town were basically down to around 16 players fully fit or not but had to put a side on the field, I hope Marcus proves me wrong and go's really well for Haven but it beats me why they are signing lads from our club that finished bottom of the Championship. UTT

Absolutely agree with Havenfan13, Why are Haven even attempting to sign players from Workington town. I know Doran has left our club and good luck to him, but O'Brian and stevie scholey would never be my first choice for a Championship club. It's makes more sense if they get hold of Barnes to sign for them, but i cannot grasp why haven want to sign Div1 players unless they want to return back to Div1 next season.

Didn't young Teare come from Wath brow?, It seems Mr Rooney did not stop the boy from signing then to Workington Town,I would imagine Mr Rooney would have a higher intelligence on board to stop any player for a spat with Gary(Murdock)at town...

Better if they had used the old speedway terraced lighting without the speccies sitting in the dark? It, somehow, spoiled the look of the old stadium with both sides in darkness, but happy with crowd so well done all who attended the game.
