Newcastle Thunder Away

I've had a bit of time to think about it and I'm still of the opinion we were outmuscled by an enthusiastic young team..that's worrying. They tired late on and we looked more like a decent team to pull away.ย

On the positive side Brad Taylor got busy second half and sauntered in for his tries in the manner of a talented lad. Tyrer tried really hard from some unpromising positions and Henson and Bradley took control .ย

Walker at loose when your pack isn't dominating was a mistake.ย

Looking forward to our new additions in positions we need to strengthen and Burns and Stephenson can't come back soon enough.

We dodged a bullet today.ย

Well a wins a win I suppose but that was hard work, Cieran, Stevie and Jordan back and all looked ok .Newcastle deserved their lead at half time, they have some young lads that will do well if they can stick together, they weren't the biggest team but made up for size with effort. We only pulled away in the last quarter and will have to improve a lot if we are to beat Hornets next week, great to see some lads getting their first trys in town colours, town fans in good numbers again, let's hope our two new recruits get here soon as we definitely need some size and grunt.UTT .
