Crusaders @ Home

Recommended Posts

Back to it this week what feels like forever since we last played. The squad was announced earlier and new signing Junior Nuu is included. The rest of the squad looks to be at full strength and hopefully we can be at full strength on the day.

Crusaders, like us, are unbeaten and will be coming full of confidence. Hopefully we continue to improve and I think that we will have too much for them, at home especially.

Don't think we can afford to drop any points this season to teams that may be classed as also rans. This is no disrespect to the likes of North Wales, Workington, Rochdale, Midlands and Hunslet as I think promotion without the play offs will all boil down to the games with Oldham.

We definitely wasn't at our best today but some credit must go to the Crusaders for that. They made us work hard for the win especially in the first half and never gave up.

I thought Bishop was outstanding today and deserved the POM. Although Walkley must have run him close and just seems to get better each week.

Overall its another win and keeps us moving forward, still plenty to work on though.

Adam Ryder looks so frustrated out on his wing. Was waving his arms about as if to let our backs know he was there. We only play one way and once we play Oldham if we dont change that we will struggle to score.

Did Stevie Wonder count the crowd yesterday. Where did they get over a thousand from.

I can only think it's so we look like we are getting crowds so others think they might go down. If this is the case I hope it works because the time and money spent by all involved down there deserve better attendances

I agree we are not sharp enough on our right side attack. I've been putting this down to Thomas not being as clinical as Miller. Something I would think Foster will be working on.

On the other hand our defense was outstanding. Crusaders had a lot of ball on our line for little reward.

Regarding the crowd I did think the stand looked quite full yesterday which I thought must have accounted for the 1k attendance.
