You've left Tedesco out? CNK is probably safest, Walsh has the highest ceiling, Papi and Turbo are as big an injury risk as Ponga. Worried about Drinkwater as the Cowboys are starting to struggle. By a process of elimination, Edwards and either Drinky or Walsh, depending whether you are risk averse or not. Just seen how cheap Walsh is now. He's almost a must have.

Roosters too clunky tonight to beat a team as good as Storm, particularly with the help Ashley Clown has given to them. -

Roosters need to get the ball to Manu more often. Maybe he should go to 6? -

With the Panthers allegedly wanting Stefano Uitoikamanu (apologies) to replace JFH. -
I feel you need two of Hynes, SJ and DCE at the moment. Cleary comes back into the equation after Origin. Choosing (or being able to afford) 4 gun CTW's is where leagues will be won or lost. Holmes, Garrick, RTS, Lomax, Ronaldo, Manu, Meaney, Tago, To'o and (when fit) Herbie are all genuine guns. Plus Dom Young, the Hammer, Marches and others.

Ronaldo has some tough games coming up after round 8 or 9 and he doesn't usually score well against top teams. Val will play Origin, Lomax may or may not move to Parramatta in the next couple of weeks. For me, it would be Holmes and Lomax, but look where I am in the table before accepting any advice.

I would prefer to see it as a weak board being persuaded by a very strong coach that if you sign the players I want it will bring the crowds in. It didn't, leading to near bankruptcy and near relegation. Can we agree that Laughton made a significant contribution to this state of affairs, even if he wasnt solely to blame?

I thought there were a number of 50 50 decisions in the 2nd half that the ref had to "guess". To be fair, I didn't feel he favoured either side. I was disappointed with the way both teams played with the wind and slope in their favour, but I think the key difference was the impact of the interchange benches. Keighley's, particularly Bishop at dummy half and Parker in the middle, was more effective than the Crusaders.

I thought Crusaders were the stronger team in the 1st half and should have gone in ahead, rather than level. 2 tries to Cougars in the first ten minutes of the 2nd half decided the match. It was good to see Patrick Ah Van still trundling up and down : I thought he would be collecting his old age pension by now.

I agree with @Dunbar, your attention to detail is remarkable. Just one query from me, though : I believe Neil Tchamambe was released by Leeds to go to Hull KR because they felt that the McCormack brothers, Jack Smith and Riley Lumb were all more promising threequarters and all the same age or younger. It will be interesting to see which (if any) of them make it to regular first graders. -

Broncos shouldn't have taken the 2 to go to 28 24. They lost intensity when they could have continued to pressure the Storm defence. A try and conversion there would pretty much have put the game to bed by going 8 in front.
