25,000 is pretty impressive. Roughly speaking, domestic professional UK RL has had 43,000 matches post 1945, so that's a decent percentage. I'm sure they could get more with more promotion and activity.

Pre 1945, there's serious money there, and Im not sure how  they could plug those gaps with donations.

FWIW, there have been about 68,000 games in UK at club level since 1895, and another 1,900 or so representative fixtures (not counting internationals).
