The George Williams tackle on Lewis Dodd saving a try and forcing an error, Wire being first to every loose ball. To me it was those efforts that Burgess himself would have made that are marking this years team as being different from previous years

England Community Lions Open Age

The selection process should be deeper than a performance in a trial game. These lads can be watched pretty much all the time now with VEO cams etc -

gillmeister replied to feelslikezoom86's topic in Dewsbury Rams
He has done a great job at Shaw Cross and he is a top bloke, That's a really good appointment by Dewsbury -
I believe the impact sponsorship ended as has Rhino and the comp currently has no title sponsor

So you would have swapped seeing your team at Wembley for an extra couple of places on the league ladder?

	Chance to play at Wembley?

There isn't the talent pool of players that would allow them to recruit local and stay in the championship

Duel Registration NCL
gillmeister replied to Cumbria1's topic in The National Conference League Forum
CARLA have a system whereby you can dual reg in your first season but theres nothing in the NCL dual registation about this. The potential upside is when a pro club signs a player and gives them little game time they can still be getting games, every pro club has players they have no real plans for and if this stops the game losing players then that is something. The downside is the issues around accomodating players who are made available but I believe it wont be used much as the vast majority of the NCL teams will stick with the lads who are committed to the club, training and playing. I guess were going to find out -

Tackle height law change confirmed

The Video published just demonstrates again how little understanding of the game the people at the top of the RFL actually have. -

NCL Premier Division Grand Final
gillmeister replied to rugbylad09's topic in The National Conference League Forum
Hamilton is excellent. Ciaran Dean at waterhead very underrated. Best forwards weve played in our two seasons in the NCL would be John Deakin OSA and Danny Bridge from Waterhead, Best back would probably be Kieran Prescott from Leigh East -
The games just been mismanaged to a staggering degree. Go back a decade Cumbria had three development officers and a referees development officer and in addition Marnie Jacksons great work. That money dried up and now we have none of the above. The lack of progress at the top of the game and the inability to generate money from international rugby has had a trickle down effect and now clubs such as Town are being expected to survive on peanuts from the RFL. One big league below super league would be the ideal solution which no doubt means it wont happen

I suspect youre right Bob and if there is one thing the sport needs to get away from its loop fixtures

Id say its more that Haven have a winger who is only 18 playing championship rugby and Brad will bring extra cover in that area
