  1. I do understand why we're predicted to finish 8th in 2024, but both my head and heart say it will be a few places higher than that in the end.
  2. It's far more than that! I don't know of any better arena in SL never mind L1.
  3. Fair play to both sides. Good game considering the soft paddock.
  4. To answer the question... a long, long time. Everyone involved with the club has an eye on the long term. It's in safe hands.
  5. I've been to three of four games between the 'Canes and us (Cornwall). Great bunch of people behind the club and on the sidelines, and really hope the move into the Alexander goes as successfully as they deserve it to.
  6. Some of these numbers are plucked out of thin air. Having attended every Cornwall home match (and a fair few away), I can say with conviction that average attendance was 'substantially greater'. The assertion that there were only 350 present for the final home match of the season against Rochdale is so absurd as to barely warrant dignifying with a response.
  7. Indeed they do, though I suspect not all of them see eye to eye on the matter.
  8. The argument seems to boil down to L1 being unsustainable with 8 clubs. If we are to assume that this is the case, that might imperil the continued existence of certain great old clubs and promising new ones. I think we can all agree that such a scenario would be extremely bad news.
  9. And it will be the finest stadium in the Championship
  10. This. 100%. The lack of self-awareness is troubling. Cornwall are up & down the M5/M6 every fortnight without so much as a grumble. A single trip down to the other end of a modestly-sized country should not be an existential threat to club finances.
  11. I don't think they even needed to ask the question as the clubs would have already known it was coming for a while. And prepared accordingly. Still, I suspect a few Championship sides are quietly accepting of the fundamental idea.
  12. Good question. I doubt it even got that far and intransigent minds had already been made up before the opening case was made.
