2 brilliant wins, as far as the mens team goes; harrison was awesome, unflappable under pressure. and harris kicked really well all day long. pemberton brings so much energy to the team he seems an absolutely grand lad and has to start every week for me. and no daft music cutting up the match!! happy days

away in a corner with a spare £10 in my pocket

ya dont need to be that innovative, just win the ruck and run at the inside shoulder, shud do the trick even without waiting for us to switch off n drift away to planet ####-up
-
at one point in the game there was a longish break while a wakey player left the field and we had a blast of the stupid music they insist on playing these days. next up we have a tap penalty 15 yards in front of our posts, the kneets seemed to have drifted off to sleep in the musical interlude, and teanby over runs the play by about 5 yards and we give a stupid sloppy forward pass. to me that just sums up the club at present more bothered about playing daft music to fill 'dead time' than actually focussing on playing rugby. nobody pays to go and be blasted by snippets of overloud music. they pay to see rugby. lets start playing some.

another day spent watching ex york players out play current york players. very frustrating. we seem to be regressing rapidly at present. we offered nothing much going forward and our missed/broken tackle stats must have been horrendous.

the 'incident' was right in front of me. it wasnt in front of the ref or the touchie. dagger should not have reacted to the wind up then he wouldnt have been in the situation, but he did not head butt or attempt to head butt anyone that was pure fabrication by the touchie. 'handbags' that was all it was.

excellent stuff

if you win all your games in SL you cant get promoted but folks still seem to think winning that is a worthwhile goal

born in pock, played for heworth then went to newcastle, been at haven on loan also one match for hull. utility player of the type hendo likes
-
the bloke with the whistle did not award a penalty try. there was no penalty kick so he cant have done. so he awarded a try as he believed the ball was grounded by york and no foul had occured. he should have awarded a penalty try as the player grounding the ball was fouled in the act of scoring by havin the ball kicked from his hand.

the NRL is played in the winter

i paid cash at the ticket office window at the back of the little stand on sunday no probs

its bad 'luck' we keep having. the bigger squad we have the more chance we have of not over playing players either on a match basis or on a minutes per match basis. and the greater the opportunity you have to make sure players are not playing in positions they do not normally play. for me those scenarios increase the risk of 'unlucky' injuries.

not a bad result in the circs.but if the owner isnt prepared to fund a proper side then this is gonna be a long depressing season from here on in
-
very entertaining match from a top class team. well done York!
-
for night matches just park on the shopping carpark outside the superstores (M&S etc.) the security cameras will be trurned off
-
everybodys talkin all about it
-
maybe rather than worry about which cds to get from the car they could improve the matchday experience by having a decent number of players on the books rather than cobble a team together each week
-
the cameras that read ur number plate r turned off at 6pm in vanguard every night
-
add to that what Hendo said in his YO1 interview that the squad is so small they cant even make up two short sided teams for practice sessions. but if this is the master plan to build the club organically or whatever then lets kick on for super league
-
i understand he was in the 'scotland borders youth academy' setup. played for selkirk rfc last year as a centre (reminds me of an advert i used to see about the place for a chap who sold lawnmowers "Brian Pickles Lawnmowers" always amused me)
-
the clipping you have posted backs up what gavs said. catA is only for super league teams (not necessarily all of super league yet) and they can not be relegated. unless we get promoted by right we aint not never gonna be a catA team im beginning to feel that the new owner does not have the ambition (or cash hes prepared to spend) to get the club promoted and thats why fordy walked. but personally i dont mind us being a solid championship side so i guess i share his lack of ambition (and i have no cash)
-
im sure that between them the RFL, SMC and York Council will put on a world class show. they have a fantastic track record of unrivalled excellence
-
as they dont let u out between matches for the double headers not much point havin food n beaches outside the ground
