Greetings to our friends in Swinton

Every week of the season fevnut writes a blog that includes his ‘musings’ column.

Although it is primarily about Fev (obviously) fans of our opposition teams have enjoyed taking a look.

This week we write about last week’s awful match, milestones achieved and the proud history of both the Featherstone and Swinton clubs.

Access the article by using the link below and then by using the links on the right-hand side of the page you can find all sorts of information pertinent to the match coming up on Saturday, including pages about the current Swinton squad and players who have played for both clubs and another about the history of matches between Swinton and Fev.

Looking forward to seeing some of you on Sunday.

Fantastic loan signings for the lions from salford, but when is the point it no longer becomes Swinton and loan rlfc ? would you rather watch loans and get into the play offs or watch Swinton lads in Swinton shirts?

good luck Swinton I will be following from Facebook

I think the team which was thrown together with 4 loan (DR) players did really well today - they never stopped working and dominated the game for long periods forcing many errors from Featherstone.

I thought several players again stood out today, particularly Hall (Charnock) who for me was man of the man - great to see him back in the team.

I don't understand the tactics used - we had a scrum outside the Featherstone 30m and Brogan packed down as hooker ! surely he should have been loose forward or stand off so he could run with his pace and strength at the defence ?

Alan Coleman was sat behind me in the stand and he wasn't too pleased when the team chose to run the ball rather than take the shot at goal - well for me that showed the team had the spirit and confidence to take on Featherstone, which is a plus point.

I hope this performance can not only be repeated but maintained then we will win several more matches.

I agree about using loan (DR) players - it means players in the squad are being left out and then they will leave or be loaned out themselves - its a system I don't support.
