Best cover versions

Thanks Jon. I know I dont share my taste in music with anything ever posted on here but I like that cover even though its old

Old? How dare you. I can remember seeing that when it came out. I was at uni. If it's old then I'm like really old.

Oh.

Melanie's version of "Ruby Tuesday" is far superior the Stones' version

Kirsty's version of "Days" is better than the Kink's version too.

Whole Lotta Love, Led Zeppeilin, but who's version of which song is a bit crazy. Its the Willie Dixon song recorded by Muddy Waters and adapted by the Small Faces before Page and Plant attacked it.

Certainly a ground breaking rework of a blues classic.

Edit.

Joe Cockers' best cover was WALHFMF. A bit obvious perhaps but true.

Nah, it's way overblown. Delta Lady is about Rita Coolidge, written by Leon Russell when he was her bloke. Joe really liked both of them and did the song more than justice.

Christ, that's dull.

The Only Living Boy in New Cross. Now that's a tune.

Trust a Wiganer to like "Over the Rainbow" - after all it is where you go to weigh a pie! :(
