  1. Our team picks it's self at the moment. Can't really see who he can drop whilst winning every week. Should see the new second rower this week if Lanskey is still carrying a knock from last week. Where Nuu fits into Fosters plans I have no idea. Would be a bit unfair on Walkley if he gets dropped. Points difference is what Keighley need this week. Main thing keep them to nil and play as a team and not individuals been greedy and trying to score impossible trys when there are easier options available.
  2. Adam Ryder looks so frustrated out on his wing. Was waving his arms about as if to let our backs know he was there. We only play one way and once we play Oldham if we dont change that we will struggle to score. Did Stevie Wonder count the crowd yesterday. Where did they get over a thousand from. I can only think it's so we look like we are getting crowds so others think they might go down. If this is the case I hope it works because the time and money spent by all involved down there deserve better attendances
  3. Don't think we can afford to drop any points this season to teams that may be classed as also rans. This is no disrespect to the likes of North Wales, Workington, Rochdale, Midlands and Hunslet as I think promotion without the play offs will all boil down to the games with Oldham.
  4. Just seen he has been kicked out at Whitehaven with immediate effect. He is a bad apple. Left Bradford without playing, got into trouble back in Australia. Been a lot of rugby players that teams think they can do something with that other clubs have failed with but there becomes a time when you have to realise you simply can't.
  5. Must be nice to see which DR players will be in the team from one week to the next.
  6. Do you think when clubs make this type of signings after the season starts they are told that they wont be guaranteed a place. Both our back rowers seem more than capable of playing at this level and maybe the next level. I wouldn't think he will push our captain out of the team. I know we will get injuries and suspensions but as we have seen in the past players don't like to wait. Maybe he can also play centre if needed. Me personally I would have liked to have seen a good hooker or a good centre as I dont think Sa'u will play all the games this season.
  7. Thought we had some good spells where we played some really good rugby. My main concern is why does 90% of our passing game go out to left where Sa'u is. Graham and Ryder are onlookers most of the time. Good teams will load that side up defensively and snub us out. Not sure how Thomas got MOM yesterday. Would be nice to see Dean get a run out on Friday.
  8. Not sure if my expectations were too high against Cornwall but apart from the first 20 minutes I thought we were pretty poor. I know it's the proper first game of the season but at times I thought they moved the ball much better than us. It just worries me slightly that we have a team that picks itself which isn't hood for complacency. Hopefully on a faster track we will improve. Next week will be a bigger test and without stating the obvious they will be looking to put the Oldham result behind them.
  9. It's very difficult for teams in our division to have strength in depth. I think that teams that finish high up or over perform will find they got through the season without too many injuries. I think if a couple of our props get injured or suspended we could lose to the likes of Workington, North Wales and definitely Oldham. We will need to be at full strength to have any chance of beating Oldham. I watched Oldham lose to Swinton on Sunday. They made so many mistakes and were simply out enthused. Might be a good thing that we play Cornwall first to blow the cobwebs off before playing Workington.
  10. https://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/sportlatest/24137919.bradford-bulls-see-key-duo-banned-widnes-cup-clash/ Bradford fans who said they were unfairly penalised during the game. Looks like they were lucky no red cards were given on the day.
  11. Yes your right but it should have been more. I was queuing at the top gate. The queue was going back to garage forecourt. The big gate opened and the steward on the gate shouted anyone with pre paid tickets come this way. It probably started with genuine people going through then all of a sudden fans (Kly & Bfd) all pilled through the gate when they noticed tickets weren't been checked. I would say at least 60 or 70 people went through. I'm not saying none had tickets but a lot didnt. I dont know how many times this happened as I can only speak for what I saw. If 50 of that 70 that I saw go through didnt pay that's the best part of a £1k pounds lost. The whole gate thing is a shambles on match days and has never been addressed last season and by the looks of things it wont be this season either. On the game yes we have definitely improved our defence but would still like to see us move the ball more but hopefully this will come with game time. Looking forward to the Fev game.
  12. It's a shame the that the game has divided quite a few fans with the passing of Jeremy Crowther and the LGBTQ history recognition weekend. I know a few people that have said they will give the game a miss this weekend in respect of Jeremy. There has been the post about Jeremy passing and the black armbands been worn yet post after post about how special this weekend is with socks, flags and special guests etc. I personally will be there and really hope we put in a good injury free performance against them. Nothing better than shutting our neighbors up but as stated in the opening post we have gone completely different ways to where we were at the start of last season.
  13. What I dont understand is that we constantly go down the side of Sau and Graham. It's as if our backs cant pass the other way. It may be our strongest side but it must be pretty easy to defend against when you know where its going. Fully agree our forwards were dominant throughout the game. Bigger test for them in the next 2 games
  14. Keighley fan wondering what to expect on Sunday.
  15. Have Dewsbury strengthened from last season
  16. What part of what I said is whinging?
  17. Better things to do than stare at screens all night when I get home from work. Will learn who is who as the season goes along
  18. Mr Hicks

    1895 cup

Should be Keighley v Dewsbury. Your getting carried away too early
  19. I know the names are on the shirts but what I'm saying is I dont know too about them
  20. I'm still coming to terms with who is who on the playing front as in who the new players are. We look strong in the forwards but our wingers look a bit lightweight to me with the exception of Graham. If one of the centres get injured and Graham moves to there I think our wingers look very inexperienced but as I dont know too much about the new signings I might be wrong. Will be interesting to see how Oldham go against Halifax next week.
  21. Would agree with that. We look certainly hungrier in defence than last season but failure to break teams down in open play does slightly worry me. I know we wont play the calibre of teams like Cas and Halifax but we didnt really trouble either teams too much. Next week will be a truer test and think this will give us a bit better Idea where we are. On a previous question of mine on here a couple of days ago regards DFJ if what i heard is true he wont be playing for us or anyone else in the foreseeable future.
  22. Does anyone have any ideas what is happening with Foggin Johnston. The club seem very reluctant to give any information out even though fans are asking the question. It seems to be more than just an injury or you would think the club would respond to supporters. Shame if he has decided to leave for whatever reason I have always rated him and he would have scored a lot of tries this season.
  23. What a shame that the RFL keep trying to complicate a very uncomplicated sport. Yesterday was a prime example. The play the ball rule seems to appear most seasons at the start of it then 5 or 6 games in they seem to relax the rule. I get just throwing a ball through your legs is penalized but seriously wants to go to game and constantly hear the referees whistle for incorrect play the ball. Probably 95% of play the balls aren't played to the letter of the law. Yesterdays game was a very competitive friendly but surely common sense has to have some part to play it was reffed like it was a Grand Final. No blame on the referee he is doing what he is told but new rules brought in each season makes his job harder and in my opinion slows the game down.
  24. Over a 1000. I think both clubs share the gate after expenses so it's another way of helping your club financially. Just think ourselves lucky we dont pay premier league football prices with 2 games a week at £60 to £100 each game just to sit and watch plus travel and food
